Holiday nails!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to show you guys my holiday nails! I bought both the deep red color and silver form Walmart.

Revlon-Raven red $3.96
Kiss Nail Art Paint-i don't see a name but its a glittery silver color, i don't remeber the cost but I think it was around $5.00
Sally Hansen Diamond Shine base and top coat- I dont remember but i think it was around $7.00

I painted a base coat, then one coat of Raven Red and drew some silver lines on my ring finger to make it festive and finally, topped it off with the the top coat. I hope you guys enjoyed my holiday nails! Have a good one :)

Home-made holiday gift idea!

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a good day! Christmas is only days away and I understand that some of us have many gifts to buy for other people and the cost can really add up, so here's my take on a fun home-made, simple, inexpensive and easy gift idea for you guys to give to friends, family etc.  Also, for those who are on a budget, especially during the Christmas season, this idea shouldn't hurt your wallet! Everything i purchased here was less than $15.00 altogether!

Items I purchased: everything was from Walmart
Chirstmas themed paper pails- $1.00 each
100 pack of mini candy canes- $1.00
Lindor chocolate balls- around $3.00-$4.00
Ribbon (pack of four)- $3.00
Hershey's white chocolate- $2.47
Tissue paper, construction paper - home
I also made some gingerbread biscotti with milk and white chocolate drizzled on top and white chocolate peppermint bark (holiday bark) to put into the paper pails.
And that's it! Super easy, cute and fun holiday gifts that I'm sure whoever is receiving the gift will appreciate very much! Personally when it comes to gifts, I enjoy home-made gifts a lot more than items that are just bought because it shows that the person put time and effort into making the gift! All that effort certainly makes up for the cost! I hope you guys enjoyed this post! Until next time, have a great day!

Back to school: Procrastination

Pinned Image

Hey guys! So it's that time of the year again where everyone dreads..back to school :( .
And I wanted to talk about something that I'm sure many of us are a victim of: Procrastination. You know, holding off a project, homework and studying until the next day and the next day and when you finally decide to start, you've realized that whatever it is you have to do is due the next day. And I myself am a victim of procrastination. It started in kindergarden, jk I don't remember when but now that I'm starting grade twelve in September (the most important year of my life possibly to decide my fate), I realized that there's no room for procrastination and if i want to be successful when I'm older, i need to break this habit now. This is probably one of my biggest habits and possibly the hardest to break and I know some of you guys out there are struggling too, but that's okay because we can all get through this together!

Honestly, I don't even know why we do it, it doesn't benefit me, you or anyone and it puts a tremendous amount of stress on us so why do we torture ourselves like that?? For me I do it because I'm lazy haha yeah..that's not a very good excuse. Let me just put this thought into your brains: don't wait until the last minute because either way whatever it is you have to do has to finish sometime, so why don't we just do it now and celebrate tomorrow? Like my dad always says "DO IT NOW NOT TOMORROW!!" My dad tells me this all the time and I know he's right but I always take those words for granted and evidently, it leaves me in a rut because I'm always up late scrambling to finish whatever i had to complete or cramming for a big exam.

If you want to be a somebody when you're older theres no room to procrastinate. Like my teacher once said "We come to school to learn how to learn" and high school is just a baby step until we reach post secondary, that's when hell really begins. Think about it, Einstein, Galileo, Edison, none of those geniuses procrastinated and if everyone did, what would we accomplish in life? Maybe gaining five pounds on the couch. Is that something to be proud of? Elementary, Junior High and High School prepares us and  gives us time to make good habits so we can be successful in post secondary and become the doctors that our parents want us to be..L O L as if..

So what can we do to break this habit? Well personally what I do may be different from what you do or your best friend does and it might not be right, but for me it works.
1)Be organized: I like to write down everything in my agenda and whatever due dates are coming up. This allows me to plan ahead and make early study notes or pick up any materials for an upcoming project.
2)Make a timetable/schedule: this follows into organization but is very helpful. Write down on a calender the subjects you wish to make time for and how many hours you want to spend on that subject. Tip: alternate between subjects and give yourself small breaks, because doing one subject for a long period of time often bores us and our minds slowly drift off into space...
3) Reward yourself: This one is my favorite! Once you finish whatever task that's waiting to be done, reward yourself, whether its pampering yourself with a facial mask or going to the movies with some friends, do whatever it is that you want ONLY AFTER you complete your task.

And just remember you don't have to study all day, leave some time to cool off, laugh a little, talk on the phone, go for a walk because I know how stressful school in general can be. I don't know about you guys but i love the feeling of accomplishment, it makes me feel happy! The earlier you break the habit, the easier you're life will be.
I hope this helps you guys and if you have any procrastination tips leave it as a comment! Good luck in school, study hard and remember to start TODAY NOT TOMORROW!

Review: BBW Wallflower

Hello everyone! Todays post is a review for the Bath and Body Works Wallflower! The wallflower is a scent diffuser where you plug into the wall to activate it. I have to say I prefer the wallflowers over the candles anyday. Honestly, the candles don't really give off much of a scent to me, disapointing product. The above picture is of the scent Sweet Pea and I bought the 14.5 oz candle in the same scent and I feel like the wallflowers produces more of a potent scent. I also bought the Lavender Vanilla wallflower refill for $4.00 on sale and was happy with it. The only really disapointing thing about this product is that the scent doesnt linger around once you unplug it. I can't remember how long the wallflowers last since I threw away the box, but depending on how often its plugged in, I would say they last about 3 weeks if used all the time. Overall I would rate this product 3.5/5.
Pros:
-scent diffuses in under 5 minutes
-scent is strong and spreads around my entire room
-cheap, I purchased mine for five dollars on sale
-cute packaging
-easy to use
Cons:
-scent doesnt last if you unplug it
-you have to keep buying refills as they dont last for months
-can stain certain fabrics and materials if it spills out
-expensive if you buy it for the original price $12.50 (I wouldnt buy the wallflower at the orignal price)

Favorites: Cereal

Hello friends! MmmMmmMmm, today is going to be a favorite foods blog post. This weeks favorite is Fibre 1 Honey Clusters Cereal. Originally when you think of fiber you think "ewww how can this taste any good" (well at least thats what I like to think), well this is where you're wrong. This cereal is so yummy tasting that you can't even taste the fiber! I love the honey clusters, they make this cereal that much more enjoyable to eat hahah! This cereal contains a lot of wonderful nutrients to fuel our bodies such as iron, calcium, niacin, vitamin B6, folate, pantothenate (no idea what that is but I know its good for the body!), phosphorus, magnesium and zinc! Plus a cup of this cereal provides your body with a whopping 13 grams of fiber! Another plus because fiber makes us full for longer, thus we consume fewer calories (helping to keep our tummies nice and flat!) ! So next time you're at your local grocery store, pick this cereal up. Trust me you wont be disappointed! Thanks for reading!

Can you spot the rainbow?

Hello everyone reading this blog! This is officially my first blog post and honestly I have no idea what im going to talk about, hmmm I guess I will share some of the things I did today and something new that I learned . But first, today was a lovely hot day until the storm arrived as you can see above. Can you spot the rainbow? I quickly snapped a shot of the sky out my window literally 30 seconds before the heavens hailed on us :( , fortunatly the hail was quick and lasted less than five minutes wooo. So anyways, today the family and I decided to get rid of some of the junk in our garage. My father is the biggest hoarder I know. He literally keeps garbage from years ago only to have it sitting in one place collecting dusk. I guess to him, everything has sentimental value -__- . While cleaning the garage I never really realized how much garbage actually fit in there and everything was going well until he started getting upset because everything that was junk to me, was "special" to him and he didn't want to throw anything away. Wow what a great story LOL,  the moral of the story: It's difficult to let go, but sometimes its for the best. Clearly this was a perfect example because now a car can actually fit in the garage hahaah. Well this was a pretty boring post but I promise to make them more interesting in the future!
Until next time, sleep well wherever you are. Good night world.
