Review: Chi Silk Infusion

Hi everyone! Today i'll be doing a review on Chi Silk Infusion! The purpose of this product claims to strengthen hair, provide softness, and make it shiny and manageable. It works well with heat, in fact, I use it all the time prior to using hot tools. It's a silk reconstructering complex which contains no alcohol (so its not going to dry out the hair!). Personally I love this product! It only takes a tiny amount to cover your hair. When ever I use hot tools, i ususally apply this halfway down my hair, focusing on the ends and never on the roots! This stuff makes my hair super shiny but not the point where its oily ( which is why you don't need to use a lot). I'm not sure if this product actually strengthens my hair, but I have noticed that I hardly have any split ends. And yes this product does leave my hair shiny and soft! I bought the 6 fl oz. (150mL) one at Winners for I can't remember exactly but I think it was under $10.00. I've had it for three years and I still have a lot to go!
Overall, I would rate this product 4.5/5. By the way, it doesn't smell that pleaseant, kind of like mens cologne, but the scent doesn't linger all day (thank goodness!).

I hope this was helpful and thanks for reading!

Easy Golden Oreo Truffles!

Happy Valentines Day! Sorry this post is a bit late but this Valentines Day, I decided to make something extra special for my friends and family! I made these super easy oreo truffles, which took around 1.5-2 hours to  completely finish and I got 35 oreo truffles! Instead of the original chocolate oreos, I used golden oreos which tasted amazing! I wrapped the truffles in little baggies and tied some red and white curled ribbon to complete the look! One tip I would give is to refridgerate the oreo balls for 5 minutes so it's a bit easier to work with and also, work with half the batch at a time, while keeping the other half in the fridge. The recipe is down below, but I must warn you that these little guys are addicting!

Ingredients

  • 1 (16 ounce) package OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, divided
  • 1 (8 ounce) package PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, melted

Directions

  1. Crush 9 of the cookies to fine crumbs in food processor; reserve for later use. (Cookies can also be finely crushed in a resealable plastic bag using a rolling pin.) Crush remaining 36 cookies to fine crumbs; place in medium bowl. Add cream cheese; mix until well blended. Roll cookie mixture into 42 balls, about 1-inch in diameter.
  2. Dip balls in chocolate; place on wax paper-covered baking sheet. (Any leftover chocolate can be stored at room temperature for another use.) Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs.
  3. Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Store leftover truffles, covered, in refrigerator.
