Happy Valentines Day! Sorry this post is a bit late but this Valentines Day, I decided to make something extra special for my friends and family! I made these super easy oreo truffles, which took around 1.5-2 hours to completely finish and I got 35 oreo truffles! Instead of the original chocolate oreos, I used golden oreos which tasted amazing! I wrapped the truffles in little baggies and tied some red and white curled ribbon to complete the look! One tip I would give is to refridgerate the oreo balls for 5 minutes so it's a bit easier to work with and also, work with half the batch at a time, while keeping the other half in the fridge. The recipe is down below, but I must warn you that these little guys are addicting!
Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) package OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, divided
- 1 (8 ounce) package PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- 2 (8 ounce) packages BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate, melted
Directions
- Crush 9 of the cookies to fine crumbs in food processor; reserve for later use. (Cookies can also be finely crushed in a resealable plastic bag using a rolling pin.) Crush remaining 36 cookies to fine crumbs; place in medium bowl. Add cream cheese; mix until well blended. Roll cookie mixture into 42 balls, about 1-inch in diameter.
- Dip balls in chocolate; place on wax paper-covered baking sheet. (Any leftover chocolate can be stored at room temperature for another use.) Sprinkle with reserved cookie crumbs.
- Refrigerate until firm, about 1 hour. Store leftover truffles, covered, in refrigerator.
